Dr Ozkurt recieved his Doctor of Dental Surgeon  degree from University of Ankara, School of Dentistry. 

He was awarded a state scholarship for further studies.

He carried his orthodontic specialty training in England at Sheffield University, School of Clinical Dentistry and NHS Charles Clifford Dental Hospital. Part of his training, he prepared a thesis on Vertical Craniofacial Development in Hypodontia Patients and recieved a Master of Medical Science degree in Orthodontics

He continued his studies in the United States, focused on characterization of a transcription factor in bone metabolism. He recieved a PhD degree from University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). After his work at UCLA he returned back to Turkey and worked at University of Ankara for 4 years.

He continued his work at Tepebaşı Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı Hastanesi, a state  dental hospital, for 5 years as a specialist orthodontist.

He resigned from this post and started to work in private practice. 

His clinic is currently located in Akatlar, Beşiktaş, ISTANBUL.
